The best thing I learnt during the Lockdown Period

The lockdown period has been a learning phase for everyone, I am sure. Though I have to stay indoors, this has made me acquire new skills. During lockdown, I have learnt many life lessons, one of it is hygiene and the other is thanks- giving. Social distancing, quarantine, containment zones etc are the words that are now a part of my vocabulary. I wrote and composed my own washing hands rhyme. My parents taught me that we should be thankful to police officials and health workers who put their lives in danger to save us. The lockdown started like a small vacation. The first few days were enjoyable but then I started feeling bored, missed my friends, school, outing with parents etc.  At that time my parents helped me to learn few new skills like baking cake, learning painting. To be honest, I spent quality time with my parents. We, together, watched serials like Sai Baba, Ramayana, Mahabharata and learnt a lot from them. We watched movies and read story books together. I have learnt board games like LUDO and CHESS. On the whole to wrap things up, the most important lesson I learnt during lockdown is empathy, love towards family, responsibility towards society and thanks giving approach towards the Covid warriors.
