 ABANDONED

For a long time, I kept him safe and sound,

From the chaos of the world around.

As chills ran down my spine,

I did everything, to ensure he was fine.

Every step I took, showered me with pain

But I believed there would be a rainbow, after a stormy rain.

When I got to feel him in my arm,

I got carried away by his sweet charm.

His chuckle washed away all my worries,

His tears made his cheeks red as berries.

My heart used to melt in the fire of love.

Days went by, and I watched him grow.

All I wanted was to see him live happily,

With me and his new family.

But one day, he left me on the road,

Saying, “I can't take care of you anymore”.

I watched him leave my life forever,

Forgetting I was the source of his life.

I gave him my heart,

Believing only death would tear us apart.

Now, my son has left me on the streets unknown,

‘Cause he doesn't want me to burden his life anymore……………
